Minister for Foreign Affairs hosts New Zealand and Nordic leaders meeting
SWEDEN, November 3 - “In times of geopolitical changes, it is more important than ever that like-minded countries stand united. Despite the fact that the Nordics and New Zealand are geographically far apart, our values are very closely aligned in terms of respect of international law and the rules-based international order, as well as our support for Ukraine,” says Ms Malmer Stenergard.
During his visit, Mr Peters also had a bilateral meeting with Ms Malmer Stenergard, and gave a speech on foreign policy together with the Swedish Institute of International Affairs focused on New Zealand’s perspective on shared foreign policy challenges. He also met with the Speaker of the Riksdag and representatives of the Riksdag.
